Appearing in the Domesday Book of 1086 as Essira and Essire, the village of Shere has a wealth of history, making it a perfect location to study the geography, archaeology and architecture of settlements. Teachers are invited to contact us to discuss how we can best meet the requirements of your trip. To get the most out of your visit, we recommend groups of up to 10 children at a time. The adjacent village hall can be hired (by separate arrangement) as a meeting point, lunch stopover and activites venue.

Our popular guided walks around Shere village can be arranged for groups of up to 25 people. Summer evenings are recommended.
